Where it started
We founded Haywood in 2019 with a simple frustration: too much of recruitment treats people as numbers. CVs fired into inboxes, quick placements, and little interest once the invoice was raised. We wanted to do it properly.
So we built the kind of recruitment business we’d want to deal with ourselves. One that takes the brief seriously, tells clients the truth, treats candidates like people making a big decision, and sticks around after the placement. We’ve grown steadily ever since, through Covid and beyond, almost entirely on word of mouth. No advertising, no cold campaigns. Just clients and candidates who had a good experience and told someone else.

From our base in Staffordshire, we recruit for clients across the UK and internationally, and we regularly handle hiring across several departments for the same business as the relationship grows.
